On October 15th, the no. 17 PSC Pirates faced off against the University of Mobile JV team. After some time off, the Pirates started a bit rusty, creating chances but failing to find the back of the net in the first half. The defense struggled with aerial balls and was caught off guard by Mobile's breakaways, resulting in a tense 0-0 halftime score.
During the break, the team regrouped and identified key areas for improvement. The second half saw the Pirates come out stronger, generating more opportunities and displaying better teamwork. Their persistence paid off when Gracie Savoie scored the first goal, igniting a surge of energy within the squad. Shortly after, Maya Figueroa added another goal, solidifying their lead.
